My deep and sincere apologies for not having updated these pages for ages. The short version is that for years I've been suffering from on-and-off minor depressions, causing me to lose interest in collecting movies and in particular writing about them. And, yeah, I'm not feeling too good about that. Some of the stuff below is hopelessly obsolete; I don't really collect tapes anymore i.e. I don't buy "new" ones, although I retain most of my core collection, including the peplum stuff. A page that in particular is in dire need of updating is the Mysterious Island page. I still get mails on the topic (the tv-series, not the non-updated status of the page!) on an almost weekly basis. Sorry! Hopefully I will pull myself together at some point in the future and do something about it. In the meanwhile, I blog on a fairly regular basis on "Samlersind" ("Collector's Mind"), which is written in Danish. Henrik Larsen, September 20, 2009
OBSKURIØST
Homepage for my fanzine Obskuriøst ("Obscurious"), dedicated to things obscure and curious. Written
in Danish.
Unofficial
Website for "The Mysterious Island of Captain Nemo"
For years I've been hunting the elusive TV-series THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND OF
CAPTAIN NEMO (also a feature film), starring Omar Sharif
as Captain Nemo. These pages contain picture galleries, liner notes for
the various video
editions etc.
GEFION
Tribute to a
forgotten Danish heavy metal band. A combination of blog and fixed webpages. Written in Danish.
Peplumania! - A Filmography
Fans of Hercules, Maciste, Ursus, Samson, Atlas, Colossus, Goliath...
check this one out! I own a fairly large collection of European
peplum releases and this page presents data compiled from all those tapes, sorted
alphabetically by the
most common English title; each entry contains info on
alternative titles, running time, director, actors,
countries of release etc. Plus a load of scanned video sleeves for your viewing pleasure.
The European Adventure Film - A
Filmography
I also own many European costume
films that cannot be classified as peplum, although
roughly produced within the same period. European Robin Hood and Zorro
films, Viking adventures et al. As with the peplum page this one presents
data compiled from my tapes, sorted alphabetically by the
most common English title; each entry contains info on
alternative titles, running time, director, actors,
countries of release etc. Plus a(nother) load of scanned video sleeves for your viewing pleasure.
Very Old Stuff Approach at your own peril...
Links Most of them probably not active anymore... it's been a while!
